Former legendary Oakridge head coach and Ferris State University assistant football coach Jack Schugars is hosting his annual kicking, punting and long-snapping camp on June 19 at Oakridge High School.
The camp is open to students entering the seventh grade through the 12th grade this fall. Campers receive a free T-shirt, refreshments, individual instruction and lunch.
The pre-registration cost is $70 and walk-up registration is $80. Holders registration is $30.
The camp staff includes kicking coach Sebastian Gaeta, who kicked for Louisiana State University and is a coach at Brighton High School. as well as Northwood University special teams coach Tom Creguer.
Other coaches giving instruction are Bill Burch, Chris Bowen as well as special guest coaches.
Campers are encouraged to bring two or more marked footballs, kicking tees, a ball holder, sunscreen, a signed release form and registration form, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
