Holton softball squad suffers season ending defeat to Frankfort in Div. 4 regional finals

The Holton softball team fell just short of a regional title, falling by the score of 6-5 to Frankfort in the Division 4 regional finals on Saturday.

The Red Devils advanced to the finals after blanking Mason County Eastern by a 15-0 margin in the regional semifinals.

Holton, which led 4-0 early on, was paced by Morgan Murat with three hits while Haylee Brant and Kylie Gould added two apiece.

Gould suffered the loss from the mound for the Red Devils, allowing five hits and striking out seven batters.

The Red Devils finished the season with a 31-6 record.
