The West Michigan Whitecaps picked up a road victory on Sunday, defeating Quad Cities 6-4.
Kody Clemens gave the Whitecaps a 2-0 lead when he hit a two run home run in the first inning.
In the third inning, Jordan Pearce extended the Whitecaps lead to 4-0 with a two run home run of his own.
After Quad Cities tied the game 4-4, Pearce brought home Brock Deatherage and Clemens with a two run double in the seventh inning with a double, giving the Whitecaps a 6-4 lead.
Pearce finished the game with four of the Whitecaps six hits on the day while also adding four RBIs.
Starting pitcher Tom de Blok took a no-decision, allowing three earned runs on eight hits while also striking out five in 5 and 2/3 innings.
The Whitecaps will finish their series at Quad Cities with a day game on Monday, with first pitched scheduled for 2:15 p.m.
With the victory, the Whitecaps are now 49-50 on the year and 13-16 in the second half, five and a half games behind first place Bowling Green for first place I the Midwest League Eastern Division second half standings.
