The West Michigan Whitecaps fell 7-1 to Lake County in a road game on Sunday.

The lone Whitecaps run came on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning by Reynaldo Rivera which scored Brady Policelli.

Cameron Warner was the lone Whitecaps with two hits on the day while Policelli, Brock Deatherage and Kody Clemens each had one hit.

Wilkel Hernandez took the loss on the mound, allowing two earned runs on three hits while striking out seven in six innings of work.

The Whitecaps are now 45-43 overall and 9-9 in the second half, three games behind first place Bowling Green in the Midwest League Eastern Division second half standings.

West Michigan will finish their series at Lake County at 7 p.m. on Monday.
