The West Michigan Christian volleyball team went 5-1 on Saturday, taking second at their home Warrior showdown showcase.

The Warriors defeated Ravenna 25-21, 25-19, Laingsburg 25-18, 27-25, Traverse City St. Francis 25-19, 25-22, Covenant Christian 25-17, 18-25, 15-4 and NorthPointe Christian 24-26, 26-24, 15-13.

In the finals, Bronson defeated Western Michigan Christian 25-13, 25-18.

Meghan Heiss led the Warriors with six aces and 60 digs while Claudia Kingma had six aces, 30 kills, and 53 digs. Anna Sytsema also had a strong day with six aces, 27 kills, 10 blocks, and 56 digs. Chloe Mitchell finished with 93 assists and eight blocks.

The Warriors are now 15-3-1 on the season overall.
