Hesperia opened up its CSAA volleyball conference season with a three-game win over Holton on Wednesday.

The Panthers cruised past the Red Devils, 25-15, 25-20 and 25-13.

Senior Ally Bayle led the attack for Hesperia with seven kills and two blocks. Isabelle Rumsey had five kills and two blocks, Alyssa Miller added five kills, five digs and one block, and Kyra Sayer had 12 assists and seven digs.

Emily Bayle had five kills and one block, Aria Thomas had five assists, while Rachel Romero and Cara Frees had one block apiece for Hesperia (9-4, 1-0).

Holton’s Paige Byrnes had eight assists and one ace, Megan Baker had six kills, while Kylie Gould and Made Baker both had 14 digs. Morgan Murat had three kills and Sydney Byrnes had one ace.

The Red Devils are now 5-5-1 overall and 0-1 in conference action.
