The Holton football team sizzled offensively on Thursday in a 46-7 win over Evart in a non-league game.

The Red Devils jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first quarter, led 14-7 at halftime and held a 35-7 advantage heading into the final stanza after three third quarter touchdowns.

Holton closed out the scoring with an 11-0 fourth quarter run.

Aaron Herron led the Red Devils on the ground with 30 carries for 206 yards and three touchdowns while Drew Trygstad added 131 passing yards and two scores through the air.

Holton was led defensively by Kaleb Kitchka with 10 tackles while Draven Wyant had 10 along with an interception.

Derek Pouch added eight tackles, one fumble recovery and an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

The Red Devils are now 2-0 on the season and will travel to Hesperia next Friday.
