The West Michigan Whitecaps concluded their series at Bowling Green on Friday night with a 2-0 victory.

Jordan Pearce hit a two run home run in the ninth inning to score the lone runs of the game. Pearce brought home Dylan Rosa with his home run.

Whitecaps starter Brad Bass took a no-decision, allowing only one hit while walking four and striking out five in six innings of work. Reliever Johan Belisario tossed a clean final three innings, striking out three in route to his second win of the year.

Garrett McCain paced the Whitecaps offense with three hits on the night while Kody Clemens, Rosa, Pearce and Anthony Pereira all had one hit.

The Whitecaps are now 59-57 overall and 23-23 in the second half, four and a half games behind Bowling Green for first place in the Midwest League Eastern Division second half standings.

On Saturday, the Whitecaps will begin a four game series at Fort Wayne with first pitch schedule for 7:05 p.m.
