The Ludington football team cruised past host Vermontville Maple Valley 35-6 on Thursday night on a non-league game.
The Orioles are now 2-0 on the season and will host Manistee next Friday.
Garrett Meeker paced both the ground and air attacks for the Orioles. The senior quarterback ran for 114 yards on 11 carries with two touchdown runs and was 8-for-14 passing for 123 yards and one TD pass.
Ludington’s Trevor Latimer led in receiving with two catches for 58 yards and a touchdown while Calvin Ireland rushed for 66 yards on four carries and a touchdown.
The Orioles were paced defensively by Luke Fountain with 13 tackles while Preston Keely added 11.
