The Fruitport Calvary Christian boys soccer team got a big 4-2 win over Hudsonville behind three goals from senior Zach Zehr.

After a 2-0 halftime deficit, Zehr scored on a header for the Eagles, making the score 2-1 in favor of Hudsonville.

Junior Ben Zelenka then scored for Calvary Christian to tie up the match at 2-2 before Zehr scored his final two goals of the night to give the Eagles a 4-2 lead.

Zehr scored his final two goals with nine and eight minutes remaining in the second half.

Goalie Jake McFarren had ten saves for Fruitport Calvary Chrisitan while Tyler Brown added an assist.

Packers outlast Tigers in back conference clash

The Fremont soccer team got a big conference win over Grant in a 4-2 match Monday night. Fremont opened the game early with Cole Miller assisting Preston Osterhart’s goal to make it 1-0.

Grant answered right back though, with Johann Vega tying the match at one a piece which was the halftime score.

Miller then scored his first goal of the night to start the second half and give the Packers a 2-1 lead, before Grant’s Vitor Moraes tied it up at again with a goal of his own, making the score 2-2.

Miller then scored his second of the match to retake the lead for Fremont at 3-2. Miller ended his night with two goals and two assists, assisting on the final and fourth goal by Carter Moon.

Fremont is now 2-0 in conference action and 2-1 overall.
