After falling 2-0 to Ludington on Friday, the Shelby soccer team took part in the Fruitport Invitational on Saturday, falling 2-1 to Fruitport and 3-2 to Reeths-Puffer.

After falling behind 1-0 to Fruitport, Chris Schugardt of Shelby scored off an assist from Alvero Avilez just five minutes in to the second half to tie the game. Fruitport later scored in the half to win 2-1.

After being behind 2-0 at half to Reeths-Puffer, the Tigers scored two goals in the second half to tie the game on Saturday.

Matt Felt scored each of the goals for the Tigers, with the first being assisted by Schugardt and the second by Alfredo Arreola. Reeths-Puffer scored with 3:30 left in the game to clinch a 3-2 victory.
