The Spring Lake volleyball team finished in second place at the Grand Haven Invitational on Monday.
The Lakers fell to host Grand Haven in the finals by service scores of 25-21, 16-25 and 13-15 after defeating Traverse City Central in the semifinals in a three-set match.
Spring Lake opened the tournament by posting a 3-0 record in pool play with wins over Zeeland West (25-6, 25-17), Leland (25-14, 26-24) and Grand Haven (26-24, 25-22).
The Lakers were led by Abbi Perkins with 27 kills, 20 blocks and eight aces while Jenna Core led offensively with 40 kills and had 41 digs defensively.
Madeline Zenas chipped in with 113 assists and Julie Clover led defensively with 43 digs.
