Western Michigan Christian volleyball made it to the quarterfinals at the NorthPointe Invitational on Tuesday.

The Warriors went 3-0 in pool play, defeating Grand Rapids Prep (25-9, 25-10), Hesperia (25-21, 25-23) and Oakridge (25-15, 25-20).

WMC fell to Cedar Springs in the quarterfinals, dropping the opener 25-18. The Warriors turned around and won Game 2, 25-22 but dropped the tie-breaker 15-12.

Meghan Heiss led the Warriors with 11 aces, 12 kills and 20 diggs. Chloe Mitchell had four aces and 36 assists while Anna Sytsema had 24 kills and 18 blocks.

Alisha Leffring had 27 assists, four blocks and 19 digs and Taylor Folkema had six blocks.

WMC is now 10-2-1 this season and hosts its next challenge on Saturday for the Warrior Showdown.
