Western Michigan Christian volleyball team goes 3-1-1 in opening tournament

The Western Michigan Christian volleyball team finished third on Friday in the WMVOA volleyball tournament.

The Warriors defeated Thornapple Kellogg 25-16, 25-18, Hopkins 25-18, 27-26 and Saranac 25-22, 10-25, 15-13 while splitting with Lansing Catholic 25-14, 16-25 before losing to NorthPointe Christian 25-22, 20-25, 8-15.

Alisha Leffring led the Warriors with five aces, 11 kills, and 28 assists while Anna Negen had 16 kills. Sydney Holtvluwer had two aces and 21 digs for the Warriors while Chloe Mitchell added 35 assists and three blocks.
