The West Michigan Whitecaps had their six game win streak snapped with a 3-1 loss to Great Lakes on Thursday evening.

Dylan Rosa had the lone RBI for the Whitecaps, scoring Brock Deatherage on an RBI single in the seventh inning to cut the Great Lakes lead to 3-1.

Whitecaps starter Jesus Rodriguez took the loss, allowing three earned runs on five hits while striking out six in six innings.

The Whitecaps are now 55-54 overall and 19-20 in the second half, four and a half games behind first place Bowling Green in the Midwest League Eastern Division second half standings.

On Friday, the Loons and Whitecaps will wrap up their series with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
