Will Flewelling’s two-goal performance paced the Ludington boys soccer team to a 5-1 win over Muskegon Catholic in Lakes 8 competition on Tuesday night.
Nathan Plamer, Andrew Lopez and Noah Peterson each added a goal for Ludington while Flewelling and Peterson added one assist each.
The Orioles improved to 13-1-2 on the season and 4-0-1 on conference play.
FREMONT 8, TRI-COUNTY 0 – The Packers advanced past the first round of the M-82 Cup tournament on Tuesday night.
Cole Miller and Ivan Coppola led the way with two goals for Fremont while Miller also added two assists.
Jaxx Miller, Lucas Johnson, Chase Sidlauskas and Wyatt VanBoven each added a goal for the Packers, and Preston Ostherhart led the way with three assists.
The Packers are now 8-5 on the season and 6-1 in league play.
FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 3, ZION CHRISTIAN 2 – The Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal from Luke Anhalt.
Fruitport Calvary regained its lead at 2-1 on a tally from Zach Zehr after allowing a 1-1 tying goal.
The Eagles added a late first half goal from Ethan Pollock to increase their lead to 3-1.
Zion Christian scored the lone second half goal.
Fruitport Calvary’s goalkeeper Jake McFarren stopped eight shots.
SPRING LAKE 2, SPARTA 1- The Lakers managed to win a one-goal O-K Blue Conference contest on Tuesday night.
Spring Lake trailed 1-0 at halftime.
Malachi Mulder and Charlie Parker each found the back of the net in the second half for the Lakers. Eli Denslow and Tyler Van Dam each added an assist for Spring Lake.
MONA SHORES 4, FRUITPORT 0- The Sailors got revenge from an early season tie with the Trojans, taking the conference victory Tuesday night.
The Sailors led 3-0 at halftime.
George Deveau led the way for Mona Shores with two goals while Clark Meston and Miller VanderMolen each added a goal.
Meston, VanderMolen, Cooper Sabourin and David Mcniff each added an assist as well for the Sailors, who improved their record to 6-3-3 on the season and 5-1-2 in league play..
WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 3, MANISTEE 0- In a game shortened due to lightning, the Warriors came away with the victory Tuesday night.
Charlie Alfree scored first for the Warriors five minutes into the game before Caleb Minasian found the back of the net off an assist from Isaiah Visker.
WMC led 2-0 at halftime.
Alfree added his second goal of the night five minutes into the second half.
The Warriors are now 10-1-2 on the season and 5-1 in Lakes 8 play.
