The Muskegon Catholic Central football team bounced back from last week’s loss with a 34-6 win over Ludington at home.

The Crusaders got on the board first with a 15-yard run from Tiovanni Knight midway through the first quarter. Just four minutes later, quarterback Max Price scored on a one-yard run.

The Crusaders led 14-0 at halftime.

Less than two minutes into the second half, MCC’s Dawson Steigman scored on a two-yard touchdown run to put the Crusaders up by three scores. Later in the third, Price connected with Christian Gordon on a 27-yard touchdown pass.

Nolan Convertini finished up the scoring for the Crusaders, snagging an 87-yard touchdown reception from Price.

Ludington scored with less than a minute left in the fourth on a 17-yard pass from Garrett Meeker to Shemar Jennings.

Solomon Waller led the Crusaders on the ground, rushing for 150 yards on 15 carries. Price converted 7 of 12 passing attempts for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

MeShaune Crowley led the MCC defense with 11 tackles.

The Crusaders improved to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the Lakes 8 conference.

Ludington fell to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the league. Meeker led the Orioles with 114 yards on 14 carries, and 101 yards through the air.
