The Fremont football team’s’ defensive struggles continued Friday night, when they gave up 48 points in the first half and fell to Big Rapids 61-14 in CSAA action.

With 42 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Fremont quarterback Christian Kennedy scrambled for a 12-yard touchdown run.

Fremont’s defense forced a Big Rapids safety in the third quarter, and running back Courtland Carson finished up the Packers’ scoring with a 27-yard touchdown run in the fourth.

Kennedy led the Packer defense with four tackles while Carson had 4 tackles.

Fremont is now 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference. The Packers host Central Montcalm next Friday.
