The Grand Haven football team struggled on the road Friday night, falling 73-21 against O-K Red opponent Grandville.

Grand Haven gave up an early touchdown to fall behind 8-0, but responded with a 15-yard touchdown pass from Collin Takas to Bryce Taylor to close the gap to 8-7.

The Bulldogs added a pair of touchdowns to lead 24-7 after one quarter.

Takas scored on a 6-yard run to make it 24-14 in the second. Grandville responded with an offensive score, then returned a fumble for a touchdown to pull ahead 38-14.

Alex Kapala found Owen Krizan for a 25-yard score to pull within 38-21, but the Bulldogs closed the game with 35 straight points.

Krizan led the Bucs in both rushing and receiving, rushing for 97 yards on 16 carries and catching two passes for 69 yards. Kapala passed for 69 yards, connecting on two of his four attempts.

Krizan and Joseph Costello led the defense with four tackles each.

The Bucs fall to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the O-K Red conference, while Grandville moves to 2-2 and 1-0 in conference play.
