The Hesperia volleyball team took its first conference loss against Morley Stanwood on Wednesday. Both teams entered 4-0 in CSAA play. The Mohawks won in straight sets, but each was tightly contested.

The Panthers fell behind early in the first set, but battled back fell just short in a 26-24 loss. Hesperia led by as many as five points in the second set, but fell again 26-24. Morley Stanwood won the third set 25-20 to win the match.

Alyssa Miller had 12 digs and six kills to lead the Panthers. Emily Bayle added nine digs and seven kills, while Ally Bayle had six kills and five aces. Kyra Sayer had nine assists.

Hesperia is now 20-9 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.
