The Holton football team had its offense in high gear on Friday night, totaling 351 total yards and scoring 57 unanswered points in the first half.

When it was over, the Red Devils emerged with a convincing 65-8 win over White Cloud in a CSAA Silver Division battle.

The Red Devils scored 34 points in the first quarter and 23 in the second to take control by halftime.

Holton added one more TD in the second half to seal up the easy win.

Aaron Herron led the team in rushing, scrambling for 113 yards on six carries while recording a team-high three touchdowns. Derek Pouch and Austin Hawkins each rushed for 54 yards on three carries, and both scored a touchdown. Pouch led the team in receiving with 45 yards on one reception.

Holton Quarterback Drew Trygstad completed four of his five passing attempts for 79 yards and scored two touchdowns. Kaleb Kitchka also had a Red Devil touchdown while Nathan Slowik scored on a punt return.

On defense, Johnny Dominish led the team with 11 tackles while recording an interception. Mitch Ross followed with 10 tackles and Ricky Enders had a pick-six.

The Red Devils are now 4-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play. They square off against Lakeview next Friday at home.
