The Kent City football team cruised to a 54-7 victory over White Cloud on a 296-yard offensive attack on Friday in a C.S.A.A Silver Division contest.

The Eagles jumped out to a 27-0 lead after the first quarter and led 48-0 at halftime. Both teams were scoreless during the third stanza before White Cloud outscored the Eagles by a 7-6 margin in the fourth.

Quarterback John Meek led the attack for Kent City, passing for 48 yards and completing two touchdown passes along with a rushing touchdown.

Dolan Baer rushed for 79 yards on six carries for the Eagles with two touchdowns.

Kent City was paced defensively by Riley Andrews with seven tackles while Meek had six tackles and one interception.

The Eagles, who will travel to Lakeview next Friday, are now 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
