Muskegon Heights opens league play with a 46-26 loss to Manistee

The Muskegon Heights football team dropped their Lakes 8 opener 46-26 against Manistee on Friday.

The Tigers trailed 20-0 after the first quarter, 40-12 at halftime and 46-18 after three quarters.

Terrence Williams rushed for 170 yards on 16 carries and one touchdown while Jaromeo Blackshire caught three passes for 67 yards.

Muskegon Heights quarterback Lamonta Townsend connected for two touchdown passes to Austin Thomas.

The Tigers were paced defensively by Arlester Sims with 13 tackles while Williams and Elante Butts each added nine.

Muskegon Heights is now 0-4 on the season and 0-1 in league play.
