The Oakridge football team cruised to a 63-6 victory over Mason County Central on Friday in a West Michigan Conference game.

The Eagles led 28-0 after the first quarter on an 81-yard kick return for a touchdown by Jalen Hughes, a five-yard run from Leroy Quinn, a 63-yard reception by Jacob Danicek from Koleman Wall and a 49-yard connection from Wall to Hughes.

Oakridge increased its lead to 55-0 at halftime after scoring on a 19-yard run by Hughes, 34-yard catch by Blake Masterman from Wall, a 12-yard run from Quinn and an 18-yard scamper by Masterman.

The Spartans scored their lone touchdown in the third quarter on a 64-yard run by Austin Hofmann.

Sander Brott closed out the scoring for Oakridge with a four-yard touchdown run.

The Eagles were paced by Leroy Quinn with 164 rushing yards on 17 carries with two touchdowns, while quarterback Wall threw 4-for-5 passing for 147 yards and three scores.

Masterman added 65 yards on five carries and one touchdown for Oakridge.

Brandon Wilde paced the Eagle defense with seven tackles while Ethan Carmean, Jalen Hughes and Masterman added five tackles a piece.

The Eagles improved to 6-0 on the season and 5-0 in conference play and will face Montague next Friday with first place on the line in the West Michigan Conference.
