The Ludington volleyball squad won a 3-2 five-set match over Orchard View on Thursday in a Lakes 8 Conference contest.

The Orioles won the five-set Lakes 8 match by service scores of 25-17, 14-25, 19-25, 25-19 and 15-10.

Abby Millspaugh paced Ludington with 10 kills while Zoee Zatarga added eight along with eight digs.

The Orioles were led defensively by Laura Gibson with 13 digs while Randi Stone added three aces and 17 assists.

The Cardinals (3-11-1, 0-1) were paced in a losing effort by Lily Johnson with 10 kills and 11 digs while Allie TenHove added 10 kills and five aces.

Cassidee White chipped in with 23 assists for Orchard View and led defensively with 17 digs.

MONA SHORES 3, GR UNION 0 – The Sailors won the O-K Black Conference match by services scores of 25-5, 25-14 and 25-10 on Thursday night.

Brooke LeRoux led Mona Shores with eight kills while Emma Lynn and Lauren Dunn added six.

The Sailors were paced defensively by Lynn with 11 digs while Suriya VanderOord had eight. Mia Bowers chipped in with 10 assists and Meghan Adams served out six aces.

Mona Shores is now 6-16-2 on the season and 2-2 in league play.

SPRING LAKE 3, GR WEST CATHOLIC 0 – The Lakers won by service scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-17 on

Thursday.

Jenna Core paced Spring Lake with 18 kills while Madeline Zenas delivered with 34 assists.

Spring Lake had 12 blocks as a team led by Abbi Perkins with six.

Core also led the Lakers defensively with 15 digs while Julia Clover and Megan VanderHeide added 11 apiece.

Spring Lake is now 17-4-1 on the season and will face Comstock Park on Tuesday.
