The Mona Shores volleyball squad dropped two close match against South Christian (25-13, 18-25, 11-15) and Holland Christian (25-27, 25-19, 12-15) on Thursday in a tri-match.

The Sailors were led by Emma Lynn with 13 kills, five aces and six digs while Suriya VanderOord added 19 digs.

Megan DeLong and Mia Bowers each chipped in for Mona Shores with 15 and 12 assists, respectively.

The Sailors are now 4-13 on the season and 1-1 in league competition.

HOLTON 3, HART 1- Morgan Murat paced the Red Devils with 17 kills while Kylie Gould added eight.

Holton was led defensively by Madi Baker with 11 digs while Paige Byrnes chipped in with 32 assists.

The Pirates were led by Autumm Sharrow with 10 blocks and five kills, while Ariana Borrego added four aces and five digs. Morgan Rought chipped in with eight assists on the evening.

The Red Devils, who are now 7-6-1 on the season and 1-2 in league play, won by service scores of 25-9, 21-25, 25-22 and 25-23.

SPRING LAKE 3, SPARTA 0- The Lakers opened league play winning by service scores of 25-17, 25-22 and 25-19.

Jenna Core played an all-around solid contest, leading Spring Lake with 20 kills and 14 digs while Abbi Perkins added nine kills.

Julia Clover chipped in with 12 digs and Madeline Zenas delivered 42 assists along with two aces.
