Weekend soccer roundup: Ludington, Mona Shores pick up big wins

The Ludington soccer team moved to 9-1 on the season with a dominant 8-1 victory over Fremont on Saturday.

Jack Glanville and Brayden Porter led the scoring attack with two goals each. Kyle Wendt, Kyle Snyder, Isaiah Lynn and Noah Peterson each netted one score.

John Biggs picked up a trio of assists, while Will Flewelling, Brayden Porter, Travis Franklin each had one.

Maxime Greiner and Ian Ransom split time in the net, with Ransom having two saves.

MONA SHROES 5, REETHS-PUFFER 0 –

The Sailors shutout Reeths-Puffer in an O-K Black match on Saturday.

Mona Shores led 3-0 at halftime.

The Sailors offense was led by Miller VanderMolen’s two goals. Clark Meston, George Deveau and Hayden Yaros each had one goal.

Deveau also chipped in three assists, while Cooper Sabourin had one.

Keegan DeKuiper got the shutout in goal.

Shores is now an even 2-2-2 on the season and 1-0-1 in conference play. Reeths-Puffer is now 1-5-1 on the season and 0-2 in conference.
