The Fremont football team fell to McBain in non-league action 33-22 on Friday night.

McBain led 7-0 after the first quarter on a 69-yard touchdown run then increased its lead to 13-0 four minutes into the second stanza.

The Packers responded with a 50-yard touchdown run by Zane Stroven to cut the deficit to 13-7.

McBain closed out the first half scoring to take a 19-7 lead at halftime.

The Packers responded to a third quarter McBain score with a 69-yard touchdown run by Stroven.

Stroven answered another McBain scoreĀ during theĀ fourth quarter with a one-yard scamper for a touchdown.

The Packers finished with 311 total yards as a team. Quarterback Cody Andree was 3-for-7 passing for 54 yards.

Stroven rushed for a team-high 141 yards on 14 carries while Austin Kukal led defensively with 5.5 tackles.

Fremont finished their season with a 1-8 overall record and 1-6 in the CSAA Gold play.
