The North Muskegon girls golf team is heading to the state finals after winning the Division 4, Region 21 title on Wednesday at The Mines Golf Course in Grand Rapids. The Norse totaled a team score of 344, 11 strokes better than second place Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic Prep.

Abby Grevel finished second overall with a 79 to lead North Muskegon, while Lindsay Bliss finished third with an 82. Georgia Kersman shot a career-best 88 to finish seventh and Mya Gonzalez rounded out the Norse top four in 11th overall with a 94.

Montague, Kent City and Western Michigan Christian also competed in the event. The Wildcats finished sixth, the Eagles finished 10th and WMC was one golfer short of qualifying as a team.

Morgan Osborne, Kennedy McDonals and Madalyn Britton all finished at 103 for Montague. Mackenzie Mortensen led Kent City with a 103. Elizabeth Vos finished at 99 to lead WMC.
