The Reeths-Puffer football team won its fourth straight game with a 28-19 O-K Black Conference victory over Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills on Friday.

With the victory, the Rockets improve to 5-3 overall and will need a win at Muskegon next week to clinch a playoff berth.

On Friday, Reeths-Puffer jumped out to a 6-0 lead In the first quarter when Brett Buchan broke loose for a 38-yard touchdown run.

The score was extended to 14-0 when Evan Moskwa found Carter Fulton for a 40-yard touchdown in the second quarter. The two-point conversion pass from Moskwa to Fox was successful.

The Rockets had their lead cut to 14-6 just before halftime.

In the third quarter, Daven Fox punched in a one-yard touchdown, and Moskwa found Fox again for.a 2-point conversion, making the score 22-6 in favor of the Rockets.

After two Kenowa Hills scores, cutting the Rocket lead to 24-19, Fox punched in a one yard-touchdown with 5:55 remaining in the game to close out the scoring.

Moskwa led the Rockets with 141 yards and one touchdown on 8-of-15 passing while also adding 115 rushing yards on 11 carries. Buchan added 81 yards and one touchdown on eight carries for the Rockets while Fulton totaled 92 yards receiving on five receptions.

On the defensive side, Gary Humphrey III led Reeths-Puffer with nine tackles, including one for a loss, while Jalen Williams finished with eight tackles.
