The Spring Lake volleyball squad needed all five sets to defeat Sparta on Tuesday in O-K Blue Conference action.

The Lakers won an O-K Blue Conference contest by scores of 25-13, 20-25, 25-23, 21-25 and 15-9.

Jenna Core led Spring Lake with 19 kills and 21 digs while Madeline Zenas racked up 53 assists and five blocks.

Julia Clover and Lauren Cooper contributed with 18 and 15 digs, respectively, and Abbi Perkins had 12 kills and eight blocks.

The Lakers are now 28-4-1 overall and 6-1 in league play. They are currently ranked seventh in Division 2.

Lakes 8

LUDINGTON 3, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 1- The Orioles maintained their perfect league record, winning by scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-12 and 25-18.

De’Lahna Porter paced Ludington offensively with 10 kills while Elena Vaara added eight.

The Orioles were led defensively by Zoee Zatarga with 10 digs and Laura Gibson contributed with eight digs along with four serving aces. Randi Stone chipped in with 15 assists.

The Crusaders were led by Erin Lavigne with eight kills while Calvin’Nae Simmons added seven kills and five digs.

Caitlyn Fodrocy led MCC defensively with 24 digs. Amelia Heminger chipped in with 31 assists.

West Michigan Conference

MONTAGUE 3, HART 0 – The Wildcats cruised by serving scores of 25-16, 25-8 and 25-21 in West Michigan Conference play.

Lauren Seaver and Reilly Murphy paced Montague with nine kills apiece while Maddy Wynn added six aces.

Wynn also led with 15 digs and Raegan Morgan chipped in with 34 assists.

Alliance League

FRUITPORT CALVARY 3, HOLLAND BLACK RIVER 0 – The Eagles won a three-set match by scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-18.

Brionna Johnson led FCC with 10 kills and three aces while Emmalee Dykman added four kills, four blocks and seven digs.

The Eagles are now 11-8-1 on the season and 4-2 in conference play.
