Whitehall uses penalty kick shoot-out to sneak past Oakridge Monday night

The Whitehall soccer team defeated Oakridge in shoout-out penalty kicks on Monday night.

After the two teams were tied 2-2 through regulation and overtime, the game was decided 6-5 in penalty kicks.

In regulation, Denver Aguiree had two goals for the Vikings off assists from Taden Brandel and Brendan Bentz.

In the shoot-out, successful Whitehall shooters were Murray Andree, Brett Evans, Ian Horning, Tyler Brandel, Joseph Gonzalez and Isaac Parmley.

With the victory, Whitehall improves to 8-6-3 overall and 5-0-3 in conference play.
