The Western Michigan Christian boys soccer ended its season in the Division 4 regionals for the second straight season.
The Warriors played Leland to a scoreless tie throughout regulation and overtime before falling 1-0 in a shootout on Thursday evening.
WMC also lost 1-0 in a shootout last season in regional play against Buckley.
“I couldn’t be more proud of these boys,” said WMC coach David Hulings. “They did 100% of what I asked for tonight. As a coach I have to take full responsibility for this game tonight. I gave them a game plan and they executed to perfection. It wasn’t the execution that was off, it was a game plan.”
The Warriors finished their season with an 18-3-3 overall record.
