The Ludington boys basketball squad opened its season with a 66-55 win over Cadillac on Tuesday in a non-league contest.
The Orioles pulled away from Cadillac with a 24-15 fourth quarter run. Ludington nailed 11 3-point shots as a team.
Josh Laman paced the Orioles with 21 points, while Brayden Porter added 15 and Nathan Lange chipped in with nine.
NORTH MUSKEGON 70, HESPERIA 21 – The Norse jumped out to a 45-10 advantage at halftime.
TJ McKenzie paced North Muskegon with 18 points and four assists, while Eric Rypstra added 11 points and John Hayhurst chipped in with nine points.
The Panthers were led by Jacob Llenmudt with 12 points.
HART 59, WHITE CLOUD 52- The Pirates come out of the gate slow, trailing 30-17 at the half.
Hart bounced back with a 26-11 third quarter run to take a 43-41 lead heading into the fourth stanza.
Alec Kempker paced the Pirates with 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Hunter Tubbs added 15 points. Dustin Klotz contributed with 13 point and six rebounds.
FREMONT 75, SHELBY 50- The Packers jumped out to a 17-8 advantage after the first frame and led at haltime 33-18 before increasing their lead to 56-31 heading into the final quarter.
Logan Karnemaat led Fremont with 10 points and five blocks, while Joshua Zerfas, Jaxx Miller and Christian Kennedy added nine points. Julian Echavarria and Tristan Campbell led under the basketball with 11 rebounds each.
The Tigers were led by Tyler Schouter with 16 points and Tristan Landis added 12.
