Fruitport Calvary basketball matchup with Fruitport cancelled after player suffers cardiac arrest in practice

The Fruitport Calvary Christian family is in deep prayer today for boys varsity basketball player Luke Anhalt and his family.
Anhalt, a 6-2 senior forward on the Eagles’ squad, went into cardiac arrest during practice Thursday afternoon.
Coach Jeff Zehr administered CPR and was able to revive Anhalt with an AED. Anhalt is currently in ICU at Devos Children’s Hospital but unable to communicate at this time.
Tonight’s (Friday) boys varsity basketball game between the Eagles and Fruitport High School has been canceled.
The Fruitport community is asked to pull together and keep the Anhalt family in consideration and prayers.
