The Fremont girls basketball team’s strong second quarter led to a 64-43 win over Holton on Thursday night.
The Packers outscored Hesperia by a 27-4 margin during the second stanza.
Fremont led 16-12 after the first quarter, 43-16 at halftime and 52-28 through three quarters.
Paige Vandenberg paced the Packers with 16 points while Calla Miller added 14 and Natalie Jamieson chipped in with 10.
Fremont is now 4-2 overall and 2-0 in league play.
MUSKEGON 66, KALAMAZOO CENTRAL 52- The Big Reds were led by Alyza Winston with 26 points, six rebounds and four assists.
De’shonna Day added 13 points, four assists and three steals, while Brianna Alexander and Diynasti Dowell chipped in with 10 points apiece.
Muskegon trailed 13-8 after the first quarter, ked 26-24 at the half and had a 46-33 advantage through three quarters.
HESPERIA 43, PENTWATER 37- The Panthers jumped out to a 14-4 advantage after the first quarter, led 19-13 at halftime and had a 28-26 slim lead heading into the final stanza.
Emily Bayle led Hesperia with 16 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and six blocks.
Alyssa Miller added 15 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for the Panthers, while Makenna Swisher chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.
The Falcons were led by Madi Wagner with 10 points and 17 rebounds.
Hesperia is now 4-1 overall on the season and 1-1 in league play.
WEST OTTAWA 45, MONA SHORES 34- The Sailors were paced by Riley Rosenthal with 10 points while Julia Tierman chipped in with seven.
Mona Shores led 12-10 after the first quarter, trailed 29-22 at halftime and were down by a 43-25 margin through three quarters.
The Sailors are now 0-5 overall on the season.
