The Hart boys basketball team defeated Shelby 53-47 in overtime on Friday in West Michigan Conference play.
The Pirates outscored Shelby by an 8-2 margin during the overtime period to earn their fifth win of the season.
Hart led 14-11 after the first quarter and 27-23 at halftime.
The Tigers bounced back with a 12-6 third quarter run to take a 35-33 advantage heading into the final stanza.
The Pirates forced a tie at the end of regulation with a 12-10 fourth quarter tear.
Hunter Tubbs paced Hart with 17 points while Dustin Klotz added 14 points, six rebounds and four assists. Alec Kempker chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds.
The Pirates are now 5-2 on the season and 3-2 in league play.
The Tigers were led by Tristan Landis with 18 points while Gage Landis added 13 points. Isiah Frye grabbed 10 rebounds for Shelby.
