The Mason County Central girls basketball team picked up a league win on Tuesday, defeating Montague 44-32 in West Michigan Conference play.
The Spartans built a lead fast, having a 17-4 advantage after the first quarter and carrying a 27-12 lead into halftime. The team finished the third frame with a 36-21 advantage.
Kelsey Kosiboski led the Spartans with 14 points while Rachel Allen finished with 11 and Maddy Bladzik added 10.
The Wildcats were paced by Braquelle Osborne with 13 points while Morgan Osborne and Emma Flynn each finished with six.
The Spartans improved to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in league action while Montague fell to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference play.
