The Holton wrestling team had a strong Wednesday night, defeating Northview 42-41 and Muskegon Catholic 72-4.
Wrestlers who went 2-0 on the night for Holton were Cam Edgerton, Rice Robins, Jacob Farber, David Plekes, Joe Crowell and Garrett Lulofs while Nathan Showmin was 1-0.
Fruitport wrestling team goes undefeated
The Fruitport wrestling team defeated Grand Rapids Catholic Central 49-30 and Kenowa Hills 48-33 on Wednesday night.
Wrestlers who went 2-0 on the night for the Trojans were Zechariah Richardson (160), Patrick Faltinowski (171), Crue Cooper (189), Jayme Woodring (215), Trever Wahr (112), Mason Brown (119), and Domonic Dault (140).
Also picking up one win for Fruitport was Wes Illum (285), Connor Sykes (125), and Karl Glydewell (135).
Reeths-Puffer wrestling squad posts 2-0 record at Mona Shores quad match
The Rockets cruised to a 55-12 victory over host Mona Shores, then defeated Coopersville by a 64-13 margin.
Connor Bloomstrom (103), Jacob Blawat (119), Alex Chapman (130), Jack Tevrucht (135), Jimmy Rozycki (140), Caleb McNeil (152), Payton Dobben (171), Gerrit Andrus (189) and Hunter McCall (215) each posted a 2-0 record for Reeths-Puffer.
