The Muskegon Community College womens basketball team defeated Kalamazoo Valley Community College 69-61 in a road game on Saturday.
The Jayhawks led throughout the game, leading by four after the first, three after the second, and six points after the third.
Elysia Mattos led the Jayhawks with 16 points while Delaney Bolles added 14 points and 16 rebounds of her own. Shaina Figures added 12 points and eight rebounds while Artrese Williams chipped in 13 points and five steals.
Muskegon with the victory is now 13-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play, a game behind Mid Michigan College for first place in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Conference standings.
