Coco Watson’s game-winning basket with two seconds remaining propelled the Oakridge boys basketball team to a 44-43 victory over Ravenna on Thursday in a West Michigan Conference game.
The Eagles trailed by a point with 12 seconds left before scoring the ultimate game-winner.
Watson paced Oakridge with 11 points and three assists while Koleman Wall and Peyton Young added eight points apiece. TJ Ruel grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out three assists.
The Eagles jumped out to a 14-8 lead after the first quarter but trailed 24-23 at halftime after a 16-9 second quarter tear from Ravenna.
Oakridge regained its lead at 34-33 heading into the fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs were paced in a losing effort by Jacob May with 15 points and six rebounds, while Calvin Schullo added 11 points and eight rebounds.
