The Muskegon girls basketball team cruised to a 56-37 win over Reeths-Puffer on Tuesday in a West Michigan Conference contest.
Alyza Winston propelled the Big Reds to the victory with 25 points and five assists.
Muskegon jumped out to a 7-1 lead after the first quarter, led 32-12 at halftime and had a 46-24 advantage heading into the final stanza.
Brionna Alexander added 14 points and five assists for the Big Reds while Diynasti Dowell chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.
The Rockets were paced by Lauren Ross with 17 points while Bridget McHugh contributed with seven.
WHITEHALL 62, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 18- The Vikings played strong defensively, leading 14-4 after the first quarter, 26-8 at halftime and 43-17 through three quarters.
Rileigh Thommen paced Whitehall with 14 points and seven steals, while Abby Seeger scored 10 points, all during the second half.
Sierra Spann chipped in with eight points for the Vikings.
The Crusaders were led by Hazel Rodriguez with six points.
MCC is now 1-8 on the season and 1-3 in league play.
RAVENNA 35, ORCHARD VIEW 24- The Bulldogs led 10-2 after the first quarter, 23-7 at halftime and 29-10 heading into the final stanza.
The Cardinals were led by Brandi Larabee and Christal Booker with seven points apiece, while Allison TenHove and Madison Pierce each added five.
Orchard View is now 2-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
MONTAGUE 49, HOLTON 32- The Wildcats led 11-7 after the first quarter, 23-14 at the halftime break and 33-25 through three quarters.
Emma Flynn led Montague with 11 points while Braquelle Osborne and Andie Zamojuin each added eight.
The Red Devils were paced by Kaylie Piper with 12 points.
The Wildcats are now 6-3 on the season and 4-2 in league play.
WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 61, NORTH MUSKEGON 29- Taylor Folkema’s 20 points, four steals and four rebounds led the Warriors to a non-league win on Tuesday.
WMC jumped out to a 15-4 lead after the first quarter, led 37-18 at halftime and had a 50-25 advantage heading into the final stanza.
Anna Sytsema added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors, while Allysa Eekhoff chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds. Meghan Heiss contributed with eight points and eight assists.
The Norse (3-6) were led by Ellie Hayhurst with nine points.
OAKRIDGE 60, LUDINGTON 55- The Orioles were led in a losing effort by Makenzie Howe with 12 points and nine rebounds, while Lindsey Holmes and Zoee Zatarga each chipped in with 11 points apiece.
FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 58, TRI-UNITY CHRISTAN 29- Kelsey Richards paced the Eagles with 18 points while Lizzie Cammenga added 15 points and nine rebounds. Brionna Johnson grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.
Fruitport Calvary trailed 7-5 after the first quarter before going on a 45-10 run to take control of the game 52-15 early in the fourth stanza.
The Eagles are now 6-2 on the season and 2-0 in league play.
