The Fremont wresting team had a strong showing on Saturday at the Wyoming Invite, going 4-1 and taking second place.
The Packers defeated Wyoming Lee 60-22, Ottawa Hills 64-16, Northpointe Christian 72-12 and Ravenna 54-27 before losing to Byron Center 57-15.
Undefeated wrestlers for Fremont were Gage Breuker (119), Trey Breuker (152) and Chase Knudsen (160).
Wrestlers who finished with winning records for Fremont were Eli Beasley (103), Alejandra Ramirez (112), Matt Long (130), Caden Christoffersen (160), Dennis Halasinski (135), Jager Kibart (140), Matthew Halasinski (145), Kyler Kolk (189), and Austin Kukal (285).
REETHS-PUFFER TAKES SECOND – The Reeths-Puffer Wrestling team took second place on Saturday in the Allendale Invitational.
Noah Mckinnon (125) and Hunter McCall (215) each took first place in their weight class while Jimmy Rozycki (140) and Gerrit Amdrus (189) each took second in their respective weight classes.
Jack Tevrucht (135) and Thade Radosa (145) each took third in their weight classes while Payton Dobben took fourth in the 171 class. Rounding out the placers for the Rockets were Jacob Blawat (119) and Caleb McNeil who each finished fifth in their class.
MUSKEGON GOES WINLESS – The Muskegon wrestling team went 0-5 on Saturday in the Dave Miedzielec Invitational, losing 48-24 to Sparta, 83-0 to Byron Center, 48-30 to Wyoming, 42-18 to Maple Valley and 36-21 to Ottawa Hills.
Camri Bradford (135) and Nate Crump (140) each went 4-1 for the Big Reds while Gabe James (215) and Dion Neal (112) went 3-2.
