The Reeths-Puffer wrestling team went 5-0 on Saturday while wrestling at West Ottawa.
The Rockets defeated West Ottawa 69-9, Holland 71-10, Battle Creek Central 74-6, Fenton 54-22 and Caledonia 41-33.
Undefeated wrestlers on the day for Reeths-Puffer were Jacob Blawat (119), Noah McKinnon (125), Kaden Edwards (135), Jack Tevrucht (135), Jimmy Rozycki (140), Payton Dobben (171), Gerrit Andrus (189) and Hunter McCall (215).
Wrestlers who only lost one match for Reeths-Puffer were Gerald Woodland (112), Alex Chipman (130), Thade Radosa (145), Caleb McNeil (152), Colby Stephenson (171) and Eric Suttorp (285).
RAVENNA HAS STRONG SHOWING IN HOME TOURNAMENT – The Ravenna wrestling team had six different wrestlers place at their home tournament on Saturday including one champion.
Garry Johnson III (145) took home the championship in his weight class while Nicholas Scofield (103) and Kevin Spoelman (125) each took second in their weight classes.
Alex Straub (285) took third in his weight class while Graysen Kloostra (171) took fourth and Kiah Shull (189) took sixth.
FREMONT TAKES SECOND PLACE AT SANFORD-MERIDIAN INVITATIONAL – The Fremont wrestling team went 4-1 on Saturday, defeating Sanford Meridian 57-14, Breckenridge 60-22, Kingsley 72-11 and Almont 48-36 but fell 37-30 to Montabella.
Undefeated wrestlers for Fremont were Trey Breuker, Matthew Halasinski, Chase Knudsen and Chaz Wheater.
Wrestlers who went 4-1 for Fremont were Eli Beasley and Kyler Kolk.
