Emma Flynn’s three-point basket with five seconds left in regulation propelled the Montague girls basketball team to a 34-33 win over Hart on Friday in West Michigan Conference play.
The Wildcats trailed 5-2 after the first quarter and were behind 13-12 at the halftime break.
Montague tied the contest 24-24 after the third frame.
Flynn paced the Wildcats with seven points while Andie Zamojcin added six. Tianna Smith and Maddie Moore each chipped in with four points apiece.
The Pirates were led by Jayd Hovey with a game-high 10 points while Nicole Rockwell contributed with nine.
Montague is now 5-3 on the season overall and 4-2 in league play.
WHITEHALL 44, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 37- The Vikings closed out the game with a 14-8 fourth quarter run to pull away from Mason County Central.
The game was tied 6-6 after the first quarter, the Vikings led 23-17 at halftime and 30-29 heading into the fourth quarter.
Kacy Jeffries led the Vikings with 13 points while Abby Seeger cleaned up the glass with a team-high 12 rebounds.
The Spartans were paced by Maddy Bladzik with 11 points and five rebounds while Rachel Allen added 10 points and five rebounds.
Whitehall is now 6-1 on the season and 5-1 in league play.
OAKRIDGE 60, NORTH MUSKEGON 23- The Eagles bounced back from their first league loss in over 80 games with a conference victory on Friday.
Oakridge jumped out to a 19-6 advantage after the first quarter, led 40-12 at halftime and had a 49-21 lead heading into the fourth frame.
Sophia Wiard led the Eagles with 33 points while Kyla Stewart added 13.
The Norse were paced by Ellie Hayhurst with nine points.
The Eagles improved to 6-2 on the season and 6-1 in conference play, while North Muskegon falls to 3-5 this season and 1-5 in league competition.
RAVENNA 36, SHELBY 32 – The Bulldogs trailed 6-5 after the first quarter and 14-11 at halftime. Ravenna then went on an 18-11 third quarter run to take a 29-25 advantage heading into the final stanza.
Taylor Maycroft paced Ravenna with 14 points.
The Tigers were led in a losing effort by Kendall Zoulek with 16 points and eight rebounds.
