The Whitehall girls basketball team notched its seventh straight win, defeating Ravenna 48-43 on Tuesday in a West Michigan Conference game.
The Vikings jumped out to a 15-10 lead at the end the first quarter and carried it to a 24-20 advantage into halftime.
Whitehall outscored the Bulldogs 13-8 in the third to take a 37-28 advantage heading into the final stanza.
Abby Seeger led the Vikings, scoring 14 points and recording a team-high 11 rebounds. Greta Hosticka and Sierra Span each chipped in six points.
Whitehall improved to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in the conference.
OAKRIDGE 73, MONTAGUE 30 – Sophia Wiard broke the school scoring record, passing Hanna Reinhold.
Wiard finished the game with 30 points along with 10 assists, eight rebounds and four steals.
Leah Lowry added 16 points for Oakridge while Brianna Pastor chipped in with 13 points and Halle Jennings had a team-high nine rebounds.
The Wildcats were led by Emma Flynn with nine points while Braquelle Osborne added seven.
MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 58, HART 33 – Maddy Bladzik led the Spartans with 18 points while Rachel Allen added 16 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Kelsey Kosiboski chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds.
Mason County Central led early and never looked back, jumping out to a 21-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and maintained a 35-12 lead going into the locker room at halftime.
The Spartans had a 47-24 lead going into the fourth stanza.
Nicole Rockwell led the Pirates with seven points.
Mason County improved to 7-3 overall and 6-2 in conference play while Hart fell to 5-6 overall and 3-5 in league competition.
