The Fruitport Calvary boys basketball squad held on to defeat Battle Creek Calhoun Christian 50-41 on Thursday in a non-league make up contest.

The Eagles jumped out to a 21-9 lead after the first quarter and led 32-19 at halftime. Fruitport Calvary struggled during the third quarter, scoring just four points.

FCC led 36-30 heading into the final stanza before closing the game with a 14-11 fourth quarter run.

Luke Anhalt paced the Eagles with 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals while Zach Zehr dished out seven assists.

The Eagles are now 8-9 on the season and 7-4 in conference play.
