The Muskegon girls basketball team cruised to a 79-31 victory over Mona Shores on Tuesday in an O-K Black Conference game.

The Big Reds jumped out to a 22-12 lead at the end of one quarter, led 39-22 at halftime and increased their advantage to 68-27 at the end of three stanza after a 29-5 tear.

Alyza Winston paced Muskegon with 22 points, six assists and three rebounds. Brianna Alexander added 13 points, five assists and five steals for the Big Reds.

Muskegon also had a strong showing from Dynasti Dowell, who scored 10 points and pulled down six rebounds, and Nia Miskel with 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Sailors, who are now 4-12 overall on the season, were led by Riley Rosenthal with nine points and six rebounds while Julia Tierman added nine points.
