The Pentwater boys basketball team defeated host Mason County Eastern 46-24 on Monday night in the first round of Division 4 district play.

The Falcons trailed 12-10 after the first quarter before going on an 11-2 second quarter run to take a 21-14 lead into halftime. Pentwater maintained its advantage at 36-17 heading into the final quarter.

Austin Hofmann had a monster game to lead the Falcons with 20 points and 18 rebounds while Max Stoneman had 11 points and 12 rebounds. Khole Hofmann chipped in with six points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Pentwater will face Walkerville on Wednesday night in the Division 4 district semifinals at Mason County Eastern High School.
