Calvin Schullo scored 22 points and had eight rebounds to lead the Ravenna boys basketball team to a 59-58 win over Western Michigan Christian in the opening round of Division 3 districts on Monday.

The Bulldogs led 26-22 at halftime and 41-37 heading into the fourth quarter. WMC closed out the game with a 21-18 run during the final stanza but couldn’t close the gap.

Jacob May added 10 points for Ravenna while Josh Vanderwoude dished out six assists.

The Warriors were paced by Kellen Mitchell with 21 points, while Hayden Hubers added 12 and Brant Zeerip had 10.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Wednesday against North Muskegon in the Division 3 semifinals at Kent City High School.
